Our story started back in 2022 on the Kansas River. Our founder Jordon Smith had gone magnet fishing with his dad, Chris. Instead of finding river treasure, they ended up snagging their magnet on what was possibly a car. While they suspected it might be a car they had no way to verify it. By chance, a sonar recovery group, Chaos Divers, was passing through the area.

After notifying them, Chaos Divers came out and confirmed there was a stolen hummer in 15 feet of water.  Jordon was invited to tag along while they searched in the area and learn the ropes. This was the catalyst for Leagues Below.

After this expirence, Jordon built a sonar setup for a kayak and spent hundreds of hours learning to reliably read sonar and Leagues Below was formed.
